Nobody gets email notifications about DOTD's, you just have to be here to check in about this time every day and then be the fastest shark to email with your complete information. You can, however, email auntie to ask if she has another one of whatever you are looking for.
This is the way it has always been...and why we call it "sharkin' a deal".

I'll take it! Email Sent!

Welcome to the HI forum teclis22. No email notification for the DOTD (Deal of the Day). Just a matter of logging onto the forum at the right time and catching it first. Sometimes there's something left after the shark churned waters have cleared. I've even sent an email to Yangdu about a DOTD and even though someone else beat me to the punch, she had another to offer me at the same price.

Contacting Yangdu about what you are looking for is always a good idea. Let her know what you are looking for and she'll be glad to help. She may have a blem sitting around she could offer you if that's what you're looking for.

Once again, welcome aboard. I'm sure we'll see you again in the steel chummed waters.

Karda has you covered. Just look at the clock where ever in the world you are and figure the time difference to Reno. Then when it is about Noon in Reno, check the board for the DOtD post. Of course she also posts the occasional Morning and Evening deals but those are usually a single knife. The main posting occurs at High Noon in Reno, Nevada, U.S. of A.!;)

edit: If you don't have a Bamboo Cutter, grab this one. You will be most happy that you did...

Warty, you got the deal of the week. I use my Kumar Karda a lot. Picnics, kitchen, hiking, camping, lots :-)

I have two others, all smaller. This one sort of makes the set for me. :)

I too use my Kardas for various cooking and eating chores. Great knives for the task!

DANG! DANG! DANGIT!

I've been wanting a bamboo cutter for a while. This one is nice, and at a great price....but I just can't get it right now...(I spent around 500 on knives in the last month). Getting my collection together.

The Matriarch of the household would .... I don't even know what she would do....the hasiya argument comes to mind! If that chainpuri was still up, she'd just have to deal with it.. Nice snag, super!

Phfft!, oh well, more power to the lucky shark that gets it! Que sera sera. :)

I keep seeing them pop up but I can't figure out what "their job is." Well, except "cutting bamboo" and I don't have any! I bought several HI's years ago but this particular model wasn't around back then. I must have missed the definitive review that would explain it all.
