That BAS is taunting me. I don't know if it would be too small for mostly being used to chop wood though. I know that it is warrantied for heavy use, but is it large enough to chop up large branches and other wood well?

15" khukuri chop well and chop above their length, but a 16.5" or 18" khukuri will do much better for large branches.

Thanks Karda! Is 15" a good all-around length because I intially wanted a 16.5", but I probably won't buy a second khukuri for a while, so a khuk that I can do most jobs that come my way would be good.

It'll work, but the sacrifice in length will make you yourself more work.
Most people don't realise the difference it weight, feel and performance of just going the 1 1/2 inches more.

What does Ybb stand for? Just found this part of the forum, as i am looking for my first kukri.

It's ok because I decided that I should just be patient for a 16.5" WWII to appear since that is the knife that calls me.

My 16.5" WWII is my go to Khukri for general chopping/camp needs. :) Hope you're able to snag one soon.
