def a great deal, thats why I jumped omg--need to buy a gold member thing too( all great deals, now my wallet waits for salyans and smatchets)

I was reluctant to do a paid membership after I found that Auntie didn't get any of the funds but Kara eloquently as usual explained that since the forum is Auntie's prime means of sales, interest and income, supporting the forum is directly supporting Auntie and HI. I couldn't get my pay pal password out fast enough.

Thanks Karda for setting me straight. I'm holding for wood and because I'm poor again, funny how that rich/poor thing works huh. Maybe tomorrow I'll be rich? or more likely even poorer? but happy either way.

Yep like Karda said.. this is aunties showroom and it works. Im new to this subforum but not to the main forum. I always wanted to build a forge and learn a bit so I dont mind paying at all. Cant put a price on knowledge!

totally with you ndog, I would like to get into making my own forge eventually , and there are tons of people here who have long been into it , I know one guy schools me about steel all the time ( or is that you?)

Nice blems, they sure went fast, hopefully everyone got what they wanted. I was gonna go for the Kobra (I was just 6 minutes after Gehazi), but I prefer wood handles.

Gehazi is quick on the trigger, isn't he though...lol. Wouldn't want to get into a duel with him...:)

yeah im pretty fond of sirus and 70 dollar sirus by raj kumar at 21 inches ---yes plz

soon i will order some salyan and pen knife to make up for this deal -- also looking for ogrisos bastard sword to come oout lol-- I would get that fighting sword but i got books and other knives to take care of first :D

and oh yes one day, the wall will be shewn as promised , most for bawanna's sake , and you guys see what I alchemized all my mateba into. ( hint its a militia sized pile of khukuris)

Great deals! These blems sure got snagged quick!

Auntie told me that the kamis will begin to work on the bastard sword in october, I can't wait until it's done! :D

wow !

are you paying in advance? I need to inquire about customs but I am always afraid to talk to auntie unless im sending her money, just because I know she has to deal with like 300 knife nerds at once.

Just emailed for the small Ang Khola. It seems to be the smallest but probably best for long hikes where every ounce counts but you still need to fend off some Grizzly Bears every other day or so.
;-)

Is there a good way to mod a finger guard between blade and handle?

I think I can shape a guard out of aluminum and replace the upper brass element. But I need to know how to disassemble the knife and put it together again without compromising its structural integrity. It would be good to know if the tang goes all the way through to the bottom and how it is secured there or in the handle? Screw, epoxy glue, ...
Does HI have full tang versions which are secured by pins going through the handle? That would be easiest to mod in my opinion. Drill out the pins, do the mod and replace the pins with some nice screws.

Thank you for your help.

It looks like it was already taken at post No. 7.

Thanks for your help. I totally missed that.
Just had been looking in the original post and there it wasn't marked as sold. Everything else was.
Maybe next time.
