These are 4 recent finds at local shops, and they ranged in price between $5 and $15, totaling $40. The Wallkill River Scout knife is great, and I really like the Camillus. The edges need work but the knife is otherwise super. My favorite just due to how cool it is would be the Swedish knife by far. It walks and talks and the thin blades are scalpels. I really like the unusual corkscrew deployment, and as you can see it cleaned up nicely. It's a beauty.

Nice finds! ...and proof that high quality knives can still be found if you look.

Wallkill River was a second brand of New York Knife Co. The covers also give away the maker. Neat that the etch is still visible too! Made around 1920-1931. That long corkscrew is pretty neat... for opening bottles from across the table ;) :D Nice stockman and easy opener too.

Aaaah Jake beat me to it- I didn’t know - nor could I research as I am travelling at this time- but That Wallkill River immediately stood out as a New York Knife with that stunning Jig Pattern.
I really like each Knife you have posted - they were absolute Bargains.

Amazing timing, I also just picked up the exact same Camillus knife as you did, but with a long pull, and was going to post about it today as I like it so much.

I think we both did pretty well!

Its almost identical handle profile to the GEC #15 in beer scout configuration.

Just shows the potential of the #15 frame when handled properly.

Four fabulous finds for forty bucks, jblyttle jblyttle !!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Quite inspirational to see that good vintage knives can still be found if you're persistent and lucky enough. ;):cool: My personal favorite of the bunch is the Camillus teardrop spear/pen with EO notch and bail (from both jblyttle jblyttle and Camillus Camillus ).:cool::cool::thumbsup:

What a great deal for $40 - not a dud in the bunch! I'd like to see the Case 6318 cleaned up like you cleaned the pearl handled knife - great job! OH

What a great set for next to nuthin’ ! Wish we had better flea markets/pawn shops here. Amazing looking Knives after cleaning.
Thanks, Neal
