J. Bruce Voyles, Auctioneers has been digging and has four knife auctions planned between now and Christmas--in the total range of how auctions are done.
First on October 30 we will have an auction of fine antique Bowie knives and related quality knives (Only 19 items). Some of these knives have been in the collections of Medicus, Bob Abels, William R. Williamson, and Berryman-Schreiner. Some of these knives have only changed hands once in the last 40 years. They're on our website now at http://www.jbrucevoyles.com
November 15 will be our first online catalog auction, utilizing LEFTBID (www.leftbid.com) to handle bids which means you can bid online up to the last minute instead of calling. 100 or so top items in it, to be posted later.
December 1, 2000 we have a live auction of vintage knives at Parker's knife show in Pigeon Forge, TN. No absentee bids, live, no minimum, no reserve, but you gotta be there.
December 15th, 2000 in our mail, phone, email, auction Catalog 9. Whether we use LEFTBID for live internet bidding will depend in great part on the test November 15th.
