Well, I know it's off topic, but I just had to share this. I am into horses, as I grew up around them and work with my father who was a farrier for a while. Needless to say, (as Dad was one of the very best), I was around some of the best Arab and saddlebred horses to be found, and I got spoiled. No, no average nag for me. Problem is affording what I like in a horse. (not that anyone here knows that dilema :p )

Anyway, we have a few horses, but none of them fit what I need in terms of size, and I am the only one that really wants to "horse around" in my family. So, I sold a couple and bought the mare pictured here. She sums up everything I look for on four legs. Size, confirmation, color and attitude. She is a 4 yr old buckskin quarter horse, although she is sun faded and looks almost white right now. She has several world champions on her papers, and has won at shows herself.

I am just silly happy with her being in my barn. :D

Beautiful pick there. My daughter is crazy about horses, I just keep trying to put it off as long as I can.

I thought that you said you were getting a big horse? :D

Steve,

She was only a two year old in the picture. She goes about 1200lbs now, and wide as a tank.

Reggie, I was thinking we should ride her down to Austin...... ;)

Well thank goodness ya got yourself a real horse, and not one of those dingy Arabs! ;)

That is a very nice mare?

What is her height? Around 15 to 15.5 hands?
