Hi guys!
I was at work the whole week. Before I went home today, a collegue told me that there´s a sale-out at the local hunting-store in the next town.
After work I went there. I looked through the window of the shop. Nearly empty. As I could remember there were shotguns, hunting-guns, pistols and knives, for sure. So I entered the shop. I met the guy who owns this shop. I asked him where the knives are. He told me "There are just a couple lying around in the wooden box. You can look at them. I gonna sell 'em for a lot of under the price I would usually do. But that´s business."
I couldn´t understand what´s up, so I asked: "Where is all the stuff gone, the guns, the knives, the clothes, the boots and so on?
He told me: "I have to close that shop, forever. The laws are too hard, noone buys anything anymore. You know, I had that shop from my father, and he from his father. My grandpa opened that store in 1912. Now everything is gone."
I stood there and looked at that old guy. I couldn´t say anything. I new him as a nice and funny guy. Nothing of this is left.
So I bought four knives
Two Opinel #8 and one Opinel #7 and a Mora 711.
There were no more knives in that shop. Except some Herbertz, which I don´t buy, never.
The shop had formerly Böker, Klaas, Vic, Hartkopf, Linder, Otter and so on and on. Now are about 15 knives in a wooden box. All the others were sold for a very low prize. I payed for mine four knives 15 . Roundabout 20 US $.
Happened today, two hours ago
Kind regards
Andi
