Four RC 3's needed.

4 of my kids, ages 11 to 7 want an rc 3 knife. Has anybody had any experience trading on the "for sale or trade forum"? Is it a pretty safe place to sell or trade without getting taken? I have some USA made Schrades I was thinking of selling or trading , so I could get them a RC 3 each. Thanks in advance for your response.
 
I have 30 deals and never had a problem all of my deals have been USA & Canada only and gone smoothly...Good luck and check the guys feedback though it does not Guarentee anything it does make you feel better about who you are dealing with...
 
BladeForums is a really unique board in that you dont hear about many bad experiences in relation to the number of user's here.
I have used the for sale / trade boards and so far have nothing but good things to say about the members I've dealt with. really is a collection of top notch guys here.
No guarantee, just my experience.
 
While I haven't made many trades, I have had no bad experiences. I'm currently in the middle of buying a knife now (payment sent awaiting knife) and I'm not worried about it.
 
I've bought 6 or 7 knives on the sale forum with no problems. All were as advertised.
 
I've done 28 deals through those Forums. And another 30 or so directly with people I first met on BF.

Not a single real problem so far. Not one.

It's a far, far sight from 'that other auction site.'
 
I've bought a few knives off the "for sale" forums here including my RC-3. All have gone off without a hitch. Lots of good people on this forum! My only advice would be to try to stick to buying from forum regulars and people who've been members for a while.., noobs make me nervous, haha!
 
Thanks . All the responses sound encouraging as far as giving me a sense of security about dealing on the forum. I hate to part with my Schrades, so I sure want to make sure to get something for them, if you know what I mean.
 
I've bought maybe 3 or 4 knives thru the sales forum since joining and all have been super duper smooth transactions :thumbup:. I would venture that 99.9% of the people there are long time members so I couldn't see them wanting to screw over other knife collectors.
 
I picked up my RC3 on the trade forum and had a great deal!
