Thanks Bro.
The Sun did the Red scales.
A Warren Thomas CQC7 Conversion.
The Reese Weiland Reblade!
And Tom Krein's Regrind is my favorite. I got this 970 on a trade.
Potterma did the unattached Red scales.

Very nice!

A question: on the Weiland re-blade, what's up with the disturbed surface finish along and slightly above the edge. Is this a cosmetic flourish or does it have a function? I can't tell from the pic. Also, any chance you could post a shot of the right side of that blade. I'm intrigued.

Bro--- The pic stinks! The blade finish is perfect!
I'll try to get another pic. Thanks!

Does the Krein knife have a re-ground Emerson blade, or is that a different blank in there. It looks larger with more depth.

Is it ground on both sides?

I'm sending a few more Emersons off to Krein tomorrow. I've been thinking about having a CQC-7 done.

The 970 has the original blade. Now it's a scalpel, thank to Tom. :)
The 3rd 7 is the Warren Thomas CQC7 Conversion, WT7. I'll get pix of the back side.

Did Tom regrind on both sides, or is it a bevel per the original? How strong is that blade?

He told me he could remove serrations. I wonder if he could do a grind like that from both sides of the blade and get rid of serrations at the same time?

It's a chisel grind... ground on one side. Tell Tom what you'll be using the blade for and he'll do the rest. The grind is very strong but it's a slicer not a pry bar. ;)

Great thread Lycosa:D

I have really been enjoying the 7A I just bought. It has easily become the favorite knife of its size in my collection. I just love the handle and balance.

Sooner than later I'll have a regular 7B. Cant wait!:)

Thanks Gov!
Don't get a Mini Commander then. This knife is rotating with my 7. :D
