Four Strikes: The blade imprint of the word "BUCK" set into the blade one letter at a time.

Anyone have a FS folder? Or does "four strike" only apply to fixed blades?

I saw a 110 that looks like the name was stamped one letter at a time in a vertical direction (parallel to the blade edge).

I've never before, until now, seen a 1st version variation 1 Buck 110 with the word "BUCK" stamped along the edge of the blade (vertical and not horizontal as I'm used to seeing the stamp). I wonder how rare this is? Can it really be a 1st version variation 1 with a vertical stamp?

No,1st Versions are horizontal, 1st variation is stamped on the right side up high near the spine of the blade, 2nd variation is an etch, on the right side of the blade up high near the spine.

OK. Thank you kindly Scott. Fascinating, the subtle distinctions and nuances used to differentiate the early 110s. Very interesting to me.
