Fourth Knife...First Sheath

Hi folks!

Here is my fourth knife. Steel is 1095/15N20 Damascus.
9.75 in OAL
4.50 in Blade
Flat Grind
Spalted Maple Scales with Red Spacer
Nickle Silver Pins

Sheath is my first attempt at a sheath and I have a lot to learn.

Knife is a user, so I didn't get as "anal" as I have in the past.

I have one question...I used ferric chloride to etch and it is not nearly as dark and contrasty as I'd like. Any recommendations on how to get it there? Especially now that the scales are on?

Any criticism or suggestions are welcome. Thanks for looking!

That thing looks pretty wicked.

I really dig the trademark, looks simple but stylish.

And honestly, I like the subtlety of the damascus. Not necessarily a bad thing, in my opinion. It catches the light in a very interesting way.

Nice for a first sheath. Thought about leather tooling at all?
