Time for a three-day weekend! I'm going to do some camping and floating this weekend. Maybe tip back a few adult beverages. ;)

Everyone have a good, safe weekend and don't forget to remember what the 4th is really about.

My son, daughter and new wife are going camping. We will also spend time with the wife's family in Maine. Planning lots of family stuff to do.

Oh yeah, we will be getting used to the idea of a new addition to our family. My wife is pregnant, something we'd never thought would happen without lots of surgery and or IVF. Nice surprise for this weekend!

I haven't had time for knifemaking this past week. I still have the D2 monster to finish as well as my wife's. I've spent more time moving the shop from my mother's house to our rented garage. The slum.. I mean landlord found out I made knives ("Like... hunting knives??") and freaked. But since she hasn't fixed the hot water, roof, lights, walls or anything else I won't feel bad about bringing my hobby home now. Besides... I will need all my tools to fix the stuff around here that she won't.

Have a happy 4th!

Work today.
Mow grass this evening.
Kayak tomorrow (I hope)
BBQ chicken for the family Sunday. Fire a few shots in the air because I can :footinmou
Work Monday because I gave everyone the day off! :(

On Sunday having a Crab boil and steamers. Monday smoked ribs and Cacoila ( marinated pork). Saturday never know it depends on who shows up. :D :D The HT Relish goes into everything.
OH!!! Alot of Buds. :)

Sounds tasty, IG.

I'm going to fix the torn hole in my canoe tonight. Going to have a fire out at the pit and roast some corn and cook some steaks. Tomorrow I'll toss a few rows of siding up on the house to make the Missus happy, then go see if I can catch a few bass on the fly rod. When I come back, I'll probably drink some Knob Creek (no surpise there, eh?).

Sunday and Monday: Probably more of that same. Thinking about making some smokie chili and bacon-wrapped pork tenderloins out on the fire.

Oh and hold on to your hats, fellas... Beer of the weekend is going to be...

Coronas with limes! Ole! No tapping of the Rockies at all this weekend, boy!

Nothing wrong with Coors -- one of my favorite beers, Killian's Red, is made by them. :)

I knew there was something I liked about you, Mike!

Coors, Corona, Guinness, Kentucky bourbons, and scotch. That's about all I drink. Once in a great while I'll do vodka or tequila.

NAH!!! Samuel Adams and JD. Nothing better than that. :D :D Well some Jose goes well.

This ought to put a wad in you all's collective panties -- when I hit the river this weekend I'll be drinking . . . Keystone Light.

A few years ago, I dubbed it my official "river beer" and only drink it when I'm floating. :D

George, I keep telling you, lay off those bottom feeders and go for the tree top tenders, fried squirrel and gravy! I already picked up some good steaks for the weekend and have thawed out the good stuff, namely squirrels. I have a top priority job before I head into the shop, mount my new scope on my squirrel rifle. You folks have a great and safe weekend!

HEY!!! U Redskin!!! I could go to the town dump and shoot the land rats. They would be the same as those tree rats. The bottom feeders are like rats, but they haven't red blood and taste a lot better. :D

Looked at the weather and looks like rain for tonight and Saturday but sunny on Sunday.
My Daughter in law just called and said they got a baby sitter for Sunday so how about going for a ride with them. HEY why not. My 1500 is just about to turn 100K and of coarse on a Gold Wind that is just considered broke in.
My Son bought a new Road Star 1700 early in the spring and with all the rain this year he has only about 1000 miles on it. Could be a fun day heading over to northern Wis. I know where there is a large flea market that has a Mexican food stand. At least I will get a good lunch out of the ride.
Just thinking -- maybe one of my other Grandkids would like to ride with.
Everyone have a good 4th and take time to enjoy yourselves and familys.

My 4th of July weekend?

Unpacking....:(

So much for canoeing. woke up this morning with a 4 mm scratch in my cornea. :grumpy: Don't know how it happened, but had to see a doc and had to cancel the ol' camping and canoeing trip.

Sorry to hear about your eye probs Michael... It was good meeting you at Blade though :D Hope U have a good 4th!

Michael, sorry to hear about your tough luck and pain, fella. Get healed up quick. Maybe you had a metal shaving or particle work into your eye that you accidentally carried into the house and picked up later in your eye.
