Fourth of July Weekend

Independence Day is only one day away! You all know what that means; parades, fireworks, BBQs, fresh watermelon, sparklers, picnics, family gatherings, and fun and games. Every family has it's traditions for how they spend their Fourth of July. My family used to get together and listen to Grandpa talk about how he spent his childhood, we would go to the Fourth of July Parade, then we would have a picnic where Grandpa would bless the dinner and the day, and we would enjoy the afternoon until it was time to watch the fireworks. What do you guys do to celebrate this day?

My dad always has us watch this video at some point during the weekend, so every time I hear it I think about this holiday.

The 4th is our wedding anniversary. We like to think the fireworks are just for us and will never end!
 
I can't wait to have a few glasses of wine and watch the fireworks downtown. Usually my friends and family get together and watch them. . .Should be a great 4th of July :thumbup:

I love the 4th of July. Its always been one of my favorite Holidays and time of our family reunion. This year due to the move and hectic year Im staying home:) Im looking forward to it as I actually get to legally blow some things up!:D

I'm glad you guys enjoyed the video, I've enjoyed it for years. Every time I hear it I get goose pimples.
 
Wow! Nicely put Lora. And that weekend sound flat out wonderful.

Lately I've been going to my friends for the holday. His father in law has been having the same family/friends 4th bbq for thirty some years. Big event, lots of people, and fantastic food. It's a good time for all.
