Just finished this one up and wanted to get your opinions/comments. I'm still just working with a 6" bench grinder and a dremel, but I thought this one turned out O.K. Blade is from a Belotta rasp temped at 500 degrees for two hours. OAL is 9 1/2" and blade length of 4 1/2" and is a hidden tang construction. Guard material is a slice of an Axis deer antler and the handle material is Black Ash that I purchased from Shaunessey right here on BF. Beautiful stuff, wish I had more. I tried my hand at a sculpted handle on this one and it really fits well in the hand. I would really appreciate any feedback on it either from the overall appearance of the piece or what you might think the value of this one could be. Thanks in advance for your input as I am still quite a novice at this and always looking to get better.

Holt that turned out great..... I really like it. What kind of finish on there? or did you just buff it?

Pretty nice, but for me the guard it too thick.

Keith:
I was having some difficulty working with the antler portion, so I left it a little thick for some leeway, but afterwards I also thought is was too thick. The next one I do will be substantially thinner. Thanks so much for the feedback.
