I'm getting into folders. I've been wanting to move into folders for a long time and this here is going to be my first model

I give you the "DHO"

this one was built with a 3 3/4" 52100 blade
triple quenched, with Quench line
Black Canvas Micarta and .10 Ti Handle

Really like the looks of that and I bet it is fairly light weight. 52100 makes for a very sharp edge overall very nice. Are you going to have more then one design and what type of price point are we looking at?

Im really liking that design, think that will be a good one for you to cut your teeth on.

Looks good to me. But no surprise there, I love your knives.
Now I want to see a folder version of one of those big bad ass recurve blades of yours. ;)

Thats cool Stephen. Now can I come and learn them from you?

I love when other people make cool folders. So that means I can keep avoiding them again till the NYCKS. Great job sir.

I love your straight knives and I do expect to see some great folders to but I want to suggest a .050 titanium liner inside the micarta or whatever else and the edges of your handles be at least a bit rounded. More "shape" will not only help it sell but will make it a far more comfortable knife to use. Lots of success on your new "line" Stephan. Frank

Thanks Frank,

I had been thinking along the same lines but the only Ti I have on hand is .100

I wanna get some .125 for the frame side and I was thinking .035 for the liner side, do you think I would have problems tapping that for bolsters and such??

Thanks
Stephan

Not at all . Go oversize one recommended drill size when drilling the titanium, use good taps and get a tap holder that goes into your drill press but spins free to give you good alignment I fould .040 a little lighte for a 4" blade or there abouts. Frank

Really nice work Stephan

I like the thin width. I like the blade shape. I like the handle styling.

In fact, I like everything about it :D

It looks like it would make an excellent EDC !
