Fox 479 lock up issue.

I recently got a second hand Fox 479 karambit as a more comfortable EDC alternative to my quartermaster. I love the fox, size is great, the g10 grips are really well textured, wave functions great. The only downside is the lock up isn't secure at all. There's a decent amount of vertical play when the blade is locked open. It doesn't seem like the lock will fail but I'm hesitant to put much use into it. Has anyone else experienced this? if so does anyone know a solution?
