I just bought a FOX Cutlery Carbon Fiber Gent’s Folder – Model 2499. I have never heard of this company but the pic looked good and the price was good. When I got it I was impressed. It seems like a very high quality knife.

Does anyone know anything about this knife in particular and the company in general? Links would be good. What is the going price for this knife?

Fox is an Italian knife company. Decent quality for a cheap price. They make some nice damascus folders. They also make the Volpe folder for Spyderco.

Check out their website. It's also possible to download a catalog in pdf format.

They also produce the "American Tomahawk", designed by Shane Sibert.

They are also known as Falcon of Italy and are part of the Campone family who have made switchblades since 1940. They are well made for the price and style. I love the shot shell puller style knife they make. There whole line is very hard to find for sale in the US.

Falcon and Fox are not the same company. Different knives also. They are located in the same region (Maniago, Italy).

Jos I will check, but I believe they are. AKC and Falcon are the same for sure and I understood that Fox was their cousin and maybe run as a separte company, but all the same family.....to me that is the same.... I have bought several knives from Elena at Fox directly so I will ask....

Don't forgot about Fox Knive's Military Division. For some reason their website does not show any of these knives. I had a past thread (note I posted a few links in the thead) where I was drooling over some of the models :D

Would be interesting to know. Then it would be more of a Busse/Swamprat/Scrapyard kind of situation. Hard to find something about Falcon online anyway. The only thing I found was some canadian representative's website.http://www.falconknivescanada.com

I consider them seperate because they make different knives with a different logo and name.

I had a chance to play with that Fox Golok this Summer when I was in Italy. Amazing balance and soooo light weight. Strange design but the fit and finish was up there in quality.

If you look under Falcon on this AKC site you will see that they clearly own Falcon. I am pretty sur there is a family relationship with Fox also... http://www.akc.it/mbody.asp The video is a great one to what so give it a try

That is an amazing video....

I have a knife under the " Viper by Tecnocut" brand, Maniago; it might also be made by them ( or a related firm). The quality is amazing, one of the nicest lockback folders I own.

Here's AG Russell's catalog page of the knife, but my knife has stag scales.

I would love to read a review on the Trakker model as well as the golok. Both look like they would make great woods knives.
