I'm thinking of buying a fox folder with N690CO blade. Has anyone any knowledge of Fox Cutley and how their stuff compares to the more well known makes. thanks

I've got a Sigtac Pterodactyl that I believe is made by Fox. It is razor sharp and the ergos are pretty good. It's a liner lock but it feels solid. The G10 is pretty grippy and the lowride pocket clip sits really deep. I'd like for the clip to obe tighter but other than that, no gripes.

My dad brought me back a small gentlemens folder by Fox when he went to Italy.
It has a damscus blade and framelock with mother of pearl -- its very solid and well made.
Model is the Trendy Fox.

I have a tops CQT thunder hawke, the blade is N690co by Fox knives. Its a great steel, performs well, holds a edge like a champ and gets very sharp.

Hey I got one too, I didn't know it was made by Fox! I absolutely love this knife...that N690 is some very sharp stuff! You're right about the grippy G10 too...mine almost feels like sandpaper! Enjoy the pic, it's my lame attempt at a magazine style tactical setting photo ha ha!

LMFAO!!!!!!! I Do the same thing with Pics. I'll Take a Pic of My newest Blade, and throw some Tac gear or a 1911 or whatever it might be along With the knife. I'll Take it with a Super Hi-res Camera, edit it a little with the tools available on photobucket and send it to my Friends/Family. They Always think I Copied and Pasted it.LOL. I don't know anything about Photography. The New Digi cameras and editing tools do all the work for you. The Ones who know exactly what I have or see something from my house in the background think I'm some photo expert.LOL.

ANYWAY. About FOX an N690co. Fox themselves Makes some Great blades. They also make some for famous manufacturers too as was pointed out.( THAT SIG-TAC looks just about Perect BTW. Are they Still available and easy to get? Looks like my kind of Blade)

N690co is what all the Expensive Extrema Ratio knives are made from. The Spyderco Hossom Fixed Blades( MSRP Over $300)
Some say it's Euro's version of 440C. But In My Experience with Extrema Ratio Folders, and the Spyderco Hossom I just got, it's more Like all the Best aspects of 154CM without being too brittle. Great edge holding like 154CM, but Hard use without chipping. To Me it should be categorized as a "Super steel" like they say about S30V and ZDP189. OR, maybe I just got exceptional knives. But I doubt it. 3 different Brand logos, all N690co. Same Nice results.

N690 is a decent steel. I abused a lot of my BM Monochrome - it held up well. I think it's almost the austrian VG10. Almost. :D

You can get them straight from Sig for a pretty good price. http://www.sigsauer.com/SigStore/ShowProductDetails.aspx?categoryid=0&productid=182 If this counts as deal spotting, let me know and I'll edit my post.

Shhh!!! Don't let the secret out! Ha ha. Anyway, yeah i can't believe they are selling this knife for $39!! I bought mine a few years ago for over double that! What I can't figure out is why the black one is still $113??

Hey Sputnic thats funny lol. By the way, what kind of editing do you do with your photos and what tools do you use to make it look better?

decent products.n690 has some colbalt good edge & not brittle.i have 2 b. m. folders made in china with 1% colbalt.steel described as chinese 9cr13.do'nt know the significance of colbalt but it works.

I bought a TOPS CQT Thunderhawk, which is made by Fox.

So far it is proving to be a very good knife. The fit and finish is nice too. It is very light for the size.

There are some good prices on these if you look around.
I paid $125, which is pretty good for a titanium framelock.

Stupid question of the week: we are talking about fox cutlery of italy right?
