Fox Folly Prepay Thread - READ NOW

It is now time for prepayment on the Fox Folly. I will be collecting all the money and then sending it in one lump sum to Bill/Yangdu.

There will be no "sign-up" list. There will be no picky-choosies. Doesn't matter if you're the first or last to pay - if you pay, you make the list. It will be generated as payments come in.

So, please pay attention to the following rules:
  • Price is set at $150 - a STEAL!
  • Preferred payment is Check or Money Order
  • If you can only pay via Paypal, then I will need you to add 3% - this is not normally how Bill does it, he usually eats the cost. Not going to happen on this one, since it's going into my account instead of Bill's.
  • If you need International Shipping - add the appropriate amount to your payment.
  • Shipping to the Continental US is included in the price.
  • The DEADLINE for payment receipt is Saturday, March 5. If I don't have your payment on that date, then you will not be getting a Fox Folly. Plain and simple - the check will be returned. I will be sending Bill the lump sum payment on that following Monday. So make sure you put it in the mail ASAP.
  • You MUST include your shipping address with your payment.
I'm sure I've left out a few...but that will do for now - if I need to add more conditions (hopefully not), I will let everybody know.


The Fox Folly will be executed exactly as received by Yvsa and I, with the following changes:
  • The Overall Length will be shortened to 16.5"
  • The Overall Weight will be no more than 25 ounces
  • The Handle will be lengthened to 4.75"
  • The Handle diameter will be "smaller" :p
To get the payment address (or Paypal address) click my name (next to my mugshot) and select "Send email to Daniel Koster". I will gladly give it to you - just don't want to post it here.

Do Not assume you have my right address - please email me to make sure you have the correct address. Would sure hate to see your payment end up in somebody else's hands.
 
The Handle diameter will be decreased by 10%

Probably impossible. They don't know what a diameter is and don't know how to calculate 10%. The good news is I don't think there is a man among us who can tell which is handle or handle-.1hD in the dark.

All else is okay, I think.
 
Glad to see its finally happening. A bit surprised to see that the final versions of the FFs will be a bit shorter and lighter than believed, but that'll just make it handier and more versatile, IMO.

Bill - what can we say to tell them to make the handle smaller?
 
The handle did look slightly too big in the pics. However since there are no inlays it shouldn't be too hard for any of us to make it smaller if it CAN'T be reduced.

All of the modifications sound perfect!
 
If it's both round and too big, that just makes it easier for us to make our own ones oval and form-fitting at the same time. ;)
