hi guys, i just received a fox gunhammer i had ordered. this is a DDR design. its such an awesome knife. anyone else have one of these? if not consider one for a future purchase, the quality is excellent, the knife is beautiful and the design is fantastic. there is a tanto version of this knife as well. i love ddr designs.

that particular pic makes the knife look like it has blue spots on the handle, but its just the light, the knife handle is all black g10, that is just the pattern.

What are the specs on that knife? Either your hand is really big, or the blade is on the shorter side, around 3 inches. And, how's that n690co? I've been tempted to get Fox's Karambit that has the licensed Emerson Wave with a blade of n690co. One Italian here or on another forum totally slammed the linerlock on it though, saying it was the weakest linerlock he's ever used. It cut him pretty bad. I've been skeptical ever since.

the knife blade is closer to 3.25 inches. its a smaller knife. the liner is actually a bit on the thin side but it feels pretty solid.

Fox makes an awesome knife. The Italians build them tough. Extrema Ratio makes great knives too.

fox knives are ok but not so great, how's the linerlock in yours? if you cut something hard, does it stick?

N690 is not the best steel, unfortunately here in Italy it's a too widely used steel, like 440C

I like the design of that one, had 2 FOXs and sold them both, the first a harrier in blue G10 was better than the Predator II regarding the linerlock but overall they were not so satisfactory

how much did you pay for it?
Max

i havent really used the knife so far, ive only had it a few days. the liner is thin, but it feels solid. it doesnt budge or flex at all when i put pressure on the back of the blade when its open. i paid $100 for the knife.

I've been eyeing that Gunhammer since a while already, and the version that interests me most is the one with olive wood handle. I have the impression that it's not available anymore though.

Anyone ever see the Wilson Tactical ELC? It looks identical....I wonder if they are the exact same knife. That would make the Fox a good deal as the Wilson runs $129 on their website.

I believe DDR licensed the design out to Wilson Tac.

It's strange that they called it the Gunhammer. It looks a lot more like the Trigger design. The Meyerco DDR knife looks like the Gunhammer.

Ya know i read that knife's name and all i could think is that it sounds like one of the nicknames given to the dude in MST3k Space Mutiny...

Fox Gunhammer fits in nicely with Slab Bulkhead and all the others.

Looked at the Fox Gunhammer and considered it many times in the past.

I have two HTM DDR Knives, the Snap & Bullwhip, and both are collabs with other Knife Makers.

The Snap is with Kirby Lambert and the Bullwhip is with Greg Lightfoot.

I can't speak on Fox's quality and F&F, but I love my HTM Knives.

For anyone that hasn't owned one, def take a look at their model selections.

I made a contact at FOX Knives USA, months ago and they just contacted me. At about the same time I had an answer to a post of mine on USN in there forum.
Here's the # 253 845-5550, good luck. :)
