I have been eyeballing one of these for a while now, but have not been able to find a single review online about this *specific* knife.

Design looks good, and it has great steel. I just don't know much about the company and quality of its knives.

Does anyone here have first hand experience with one of these Fox Terzuola framelocks?

What steel , N690 ?? Fox of Italy ? Terzuola has even written a book about making folders ! I have a FOX knife in N690. I have a fine Terzuola .A good combination .
Why don't you do a review ??

Um, well I don't have the knife for one. LOL.

I have found a few youtube reviews of *similar* fox knives, but I'm interested in specifically THIS one. I know there are tons of fans here, so I thought somebody may have actual, hands-on experience before I pull the trigger on one.

I saw it once at my local knife shop and was allowed to handle it. For me it is a little bit to big and heavy as an EDC. I am not a big fan of thumb discs. It seemed to be an well built and finished knife. If you like the size and design, why not.
FOX knows how to treat the N690. I have a few fixed from FOX in N690. Much used and abused. I consider the N690 my favourite steel.

Size-wise I think this will work for me. At 4.375", it's smaller than a Spyderco Southard. It's about an ounce lighter than one as well.

You mentioned it felt heavy. The specs say it's only a hair over 3 oz. What do you carry now?

The biggest thing for me was the build quality and smoothness. Those are 2 things you really almost need to have the knife in hand to figure out.

Thanks for your input!

** EDIT: My bad. I thought the weight was 3.2 oz., and it's actually 3.12 oz, or a hair under 4. The weight issue makes sense now. ***

I am very interested in this knife, too.
The only review I found is this one.

This describes just impressions but not much use experiences.
I would also like to hear from someone using it as EDC.

I saw that one, but it didn't seem like he even laid hands on it. It was more of a "how I think this knife should be" type write-up.

As nice as this knife looks I'm surprised nobody has any info on it!

Wow very nice knife, kind of wish it had the dragon logo that terzuola uses on his knives-the steel is awesome, made in italy another plus

Agree on the review and am also surprised by the lack of a user review!
I am hoping that this OP's thread invokes someone having the knife.

I have a few FOX fixed blade knives in N690 and think they are great. They take a wicked sharp edge and keep it better than D2. If their folders are made of this steel they will be very acceptable. I also do not like the thumb disk. Check if FOX has any other folders WITHOUT the thumb disk. I got my FOX knives a few years ago and have noticed that the prices have risen considerably.

Well I finally picked one of these up in a gun/knife trade a few weeks ago!

Initial impression: Great knife. Much lighter than I had anticipated. The action is VERY smooth. It feels like an XM-18 without the weight of the blade. Extremely well put together and ZERO blade play in either direction. Blade is hair shaving sharp right out of the box, and the knife comes with a cool pouch and tools.

While it was a great knife, I have it on the exchange (link in my sig) because I have fallen in love with the CRK Small Inkosi, and the new Carbon Fiber version just left a good sized hole in my bank account and has taken up permanent residence in my right front pocket!

If you are looking for a great mid-sized Ti frame lock that carries like a smaller knife, this may be the one for you!
