Hello,
Got my new Fox Rimor today, been reaching out to the manufacturer and asking about the sharpening angle of the knife. They haven't replied so far, maybe the corona-situation is to blame for that. Maybe someone here can answer that question, one website (3rd party) says 24 degrees, can anyone here conform this?

Best regards,
Nibbs

Welcome.
Looks like a bushcraft/light chopper blade. Id say around a 25 degree angle.
You could use a Sharpie to color the edge and sharpen away. Looking at the edge at intervals will give you an idea.

Correct answer is: Whichever you feel like. The acuter the angle, the better it will cut but you will have more chances of chipping it, the more obtuse you sharpen it, he stronger it will be, but will cut worse.

Anyway, I would stick to the current angle according to the sharpie trick.

Do you have a state of the art sharpening system where you punch the angle somehwere and let the machine do the work? If not, just like everyone else, the angle is something you have to adjust for.

Thanks for your replies. Yes I have a manual sharpener with adjustable angle, however maximum angle is 24 degrees, so I guess that is what I will use. But definitely will use the sharpie trick. As a side note, I will up my sharpening game by using a leather strop, mostly because it's fun. The knife is razor sharp from factory so I hope it will take some while before it needs sharpening, the idea is to try keeping it sharp with leather touch-ups now and then.
