Ooops, I meant Firefox.

I don't know what took me so long to try the Foxfire web browser, but I'm never going back to Internet Explorer. My teenage son has been urging me to try it. I just assumed it was another symptom of his "I hate Microsoft" phase.

It's really remarkable with the amount of add-ons. You can tweak the heck out of your search engines, download videos and convert them, and various "themes" or skins to spruce up your browser.

The coolest add-on I found so far is called Autopager which automatically takes you to the next page on a multi-page blog or forum without having to use the "next page" function. It works here at Bladeforums very well.

Firefox?

The only add-on I've used extensively is the Ad Blocker Pro. It's made the internet 'fun' again.

I like the fact that if your PC does "hang/freeze-up", after you restart, it recovers the sites you were viewing previously.

If you REALLY want to power up Firefox, watch the YouTube video;
http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=1g30Xyh6Wqc This guy gives a dozen really effective tips, add-ons, ideas, etc., that made the browser a really powerful work tool. Especially 'TabMix Plus" and "Foxmarks."

I'm really pleased with Firefox, Safari kept freezing up on me and IE is , well, IE. Thanks for the youtube link, very cool tutorial.

lol... u had me thinking u were talking about the foxfire books... i was wondering y this wasn't in wws....

I've been using firefox for years and I love it too. But it does take a chunk of memory to run, more than IE, if I'm not mistaken. I use the ad and script blocker. I also suggest the PDF download extension. It allows you to have the choice of downloading PDF pages instead of loading them on the browser.
