Since the first time I saw an FF I have wanted one and wondered how to get my hands on one. The one person I knew that had one would never give it up and I don't blame him. I am also new to the forum and I hope this doesn't offend anyone, especially Yvsa. I enjoy Yvsa's posts and I know he is generous in sharing his knowledge. I have also gathered the FF is near and dear to him. As there are a lot of people participating in this run, and it would not have happened except for Yvsa, I would like to propose that we all chip in and provide the first one to Yvsa. I would like to put in the first 30.00. Again, I hope I have not spoken out of line and I hope Yvsa you take this in the spirit it is intended. One of respect and gratitude. I somehow feel a little kinship. (Ask Finn).

OK, Thanks everyone. The FF project is a little ways off, so I think we will wait till it is time. At that time, everyone can send their contribution to me and I will pass it along to Uncle Bill with a list of the contributors. I will post my address. I am excited about the project and hope it will be soon.

Well, the time has arrived. Woo Hoo! Those who are still interested in participating please email me for my address to send. Thanks in advance.

Don't hold either Uncle Bill or me to this, but I seem to recall, when the original FF was in the works, Bill said that if X (and I don't remember that number) signed up/prepaid, Foxjaw was given one. I don't know if the situation is different, or that policy has changed, or it never was one.

If contributions are requested, I'm in. It's worth it just for the chile verde recipe he has passed on (I know, my values are skewed.), not to mention everything else.

I'd be able to chip in a little bit towards a FF for Yvsa. I mean, heck i've never met the man, but when i first joined the forums a couple years ago his posts always seemed to ring true with wisdom. I learned an awful lot from a lot from his posts. I've taken college courses that didn't teach me Jack Spit about anything practical or useful. I figure i owe Ysva at least a few bucks towards a knife that he loves so much for all the free information he has given me. I probably wont get a FF because i'm tapped out from the kerambit i just bought as well as the pre-paid YCS, but i'd be more than willing to chip a few bucks towards Yvsa getting one at no cost to him.

Terry, et al:

This is a wonderful gesture and not something I expected, or deserve.
I'm just a man who very much wants a shortened version of the FF and figured that if I got enough interested in the short version we might get one and it appears that that has happened.
That is plenty reward enough for me although y'alls gesture is appreciated, very much so!:D

And Terry, we're all brothers.:D
Please drop me an email.;)

Thanks everyone for the response. I am finalizing the details and timing and will post here hopefully tomorrow.
Terry

Dan and Uncle Bill email to you.

Terry, I'd like to kick in a few bucks as well. By the way, you shouldn't have to put in 1/5th of the cost by yourself if you get enough hits here. All we need is 15 or 16 guys at a little bit each and we'll have it all covered. More is less. Or, we could just give any extra to the fund on HI's website. (?)

Thanks for driving this. Yvsa more than deserves it! Please let us know.

Tnx.

Norm

Thanks gang. I am very much honored but as I said before,

An addendum too that:
I just mailed my $300.00 check for two Foxy Folly's off to Dan today.:D
I'm gonna have the best of both worlds, an original and the hopefully new and improved slightly shorter less heavy one.

By the way Terry, do you have yours on order?;)

man i am trying every way i can think of to come up with the 150.00 for this fine knife--i gota have one--gota-gota-gota--i'll get it figured out in time i hope  :)

Sorry guys, was at the ranch all weekend, just got back tonight. Please email me @ tsf45@earthlink.net of your interest in participating and my address to send contributions. I hope we can have Dan send Yvsa's check back to him. Yvsa, there is not one member or visitor to this forum who has not been recieved something from one of your posts. I think we all would like to give a little back to you. It is nice to so something nice for the good guys once in a while so they know they are appreciated.

Payment goes in this week. I am so pumped! Have been lusting after one since Finn sent me a pictrue of his. Thanks again for getting this project done. By the way, I am wanting to put up a totem at the ranch. Any suggestions as to animals, etc. to include? We have coyotes around and I love listening to them run late at night with the moon full. Not as many around as used to be. Farmers and ranchers killing them off. But they are sly little creatures and you will never get rid of all of them. DIJ will appreciate them for their adaptability and ability to go wit the flow.

Noted. Let me know how the fundraising goes. Shoot me an email.

Thanks to those who have responded so far. Please email me for my address to send payment. Some have asked about adding the donation to their prepayment. We would rather keep this separate. Don't want something else for Dan to keep track of. I will send all donations to Dan at one time. Please try to get in the mail this week.
Thanks All,
Terry
