I'm really missing the Foxy Folly I sent on to Foxy, but it's his design and so Foxy deserved the very first one.
Anyway I have some special plans for mine when it gets here, if it ever does.:rolleyes:
I've got an old Solingen Steel blade, stick tang and clipped blade, with a nicely rounded spine that I'm figuring on turning into a nice dropped point blade for an extra karda for my FF, depending on what the original karda and chakma are like.
I also have an old Boy Scout knife that has a destroyed handle on that I'm considering making another karda out of, but I don't have any idea of the quality of steel is, anyone know?
I liked the FF so much that I'm thinking of making it my carry khuk, at least for awhile to see if it proves out better than my YCS and 18" AK.
I do have this "Special Feeling" that the FF is gonna be just exactly what I've been wanting in a khuk since I got here.
I still like the idea of an 18" FF and that would be a top priority for me to purchase.
Remember guys, if we can get six that's 6, takers we can get them ordered!!!!
If there's five others willing to get an 18" FF I will gladly be the first on the list!!!!

I can hardly wait until the standard models get here and would walk the floor for weeks waiting on an 18" model of the FF!!!!:o
 
Count me in Yvsa! I wish I'd bellied up to the bar when it was sign up time.:(

Yvsa, count me in! I missed out on the first run as well.
The 20.5 is about the same size as the Berk. An 18" model would be sweet!

Are you aware that Mr. Moore has a new book? "Fluke". Have it, but haven't started it.
 
I can't wait to get my Foxys Folly either. I am actually excited about it at the size it is now. I love all of them from the 18"-22".
For some reason all the ones that I tend to use the most and love the most are in this size range. My YCS is about my smallest carry, in khukuri love. The Foxy looks like it may be the big brother to the YCS I had dreamed of!:D :cool:
 
BirGorkha tells me that Kumar has been assigned the project of the Foxy Folly and has about 15 pieces ready to ship. This means we "might" be able to start shipping around 1 October.
 
Blessed be the name of Yvsa ! Ya'll should see the final grind and polish he put on my Foxy's Folly before he sent it onto me ! Many thanks Yvsa. The FF is now my personal carry. I would love tos see an 18" model as well though. I have to say that the old 19th century design were quite superior

How about it Bill? If I counted right, there's seven of us that would like an 18" Foxy's Folly.
What would be the price on an 18" model? If I recall correctly the standard ones were s'possed to be $175.00?
Does that sound right to you, or am I off base as usual?:rolleyes: :p ;)

No, seriously, I really do!!!!
I hope to get one with as long a sweet spot as the one that Bura made!!!!
Tsimi and I was talking about it and I told him that it was the longest sweet spot I had ever seen on a khuk.
I actually measured it and the sweet spot is 7 1/2" long!!!! A file merely slides along that part of the edge!!!!:D
