I just recently jumped on the bandwagon and ordered the FF. Can't wait to own a limited edition, handmade blade! (well, actually all the HI stuff pretty much fits that bill!).

Anyways, I read a bunch of threads but didn't see any kind of time frame. I was just wondering if anyone knew (like a month, six months, etc) I obviously don't need any specific date.
 
With all the FFs being ordered, I figure it'll be at least two months from the time the official order is sent out to Birghorka. Probably more like three months but that's just my semi-educated guess.

The YCS took a couple 3 months to come back, but that was a pretty involved project with rare woods, special kardas, leathers, fancy handles, etc. The FF *should* be pretty straight forward, but ya never know with those zany kamis runnin' the show;)

Sound good to me, although I do like instant gratification.

I hope that there are a lot of orders and that it is very profitable for HI. Might put a cramp into those one off peices that show up in the UBBB from time to time, tez darr anyone? :p

Yup. I think Uncle mentioned more than once that the kamis do what they want, when they want. I hope we get lucky and the Follys arrive both rapidly and perfect, but I'll settle for perfect. ;)

Yup!!!! Perfect is good!!!! :D :cool:

Seems the kamis are a lot like ndns. :o It'll happen when it's supposed too.:rolleyes: :footinmou And instead of running on ndn time they're running on kami time.:rolleyes: :p ;) :D
 
timeframe estimate:

I will be emailing Bill the final count on Saturday
..and sending the money for the order on Monday.
Yangdu will call in the order next week (provided phones are working ok)
Count on a few weeks to make the order
...and at least a few weeks for shipping.

Best case scenario (provided BirGhorka does not have any questions/concerns about the changes) - based on my experience only - I'd put it at Tax Time....4/15

More likely = end of April/start of May


There's no way of knowing for sure...the whole process is like a giant Rube Goldberg contraption.....one piece falls out and the whole kit-n-kaboodle falls apart....very unpredictable....but, Hey...better than nuthin'..!

Don't know Dan. Not sure when Bill sent the order in but when I wrote and asked about them the first time I figured it was probably getting close and come too find out it was.:D
I'm gonna guess at 5-6 weeks.:cool:

Did you get my email with the list last night? Do we need everyone too send their forum names too me, the ones that have already paid I mean?
 
yeah - that might help. more work for you, unfortunately - but in the end, it will help us keep track of everyone.
