Hi Bruce, Svashter,

Heres the promised pix of my Horn handled Foxys Folly by Kumar, Immaculate condition as you can see. {Only ever cut bark less dry popler with it so no scratches,blunting or stains! }

Weights 3lbs so definatly a kuk made for strong people! ;) :D
& it cuts like, well like a 3lb kukri! :eek: :D

Photoed over a ww1 mk.2 for perspective.

i have this and i love it. but i find it is much too heavy for me personally.

but i love it!

That makes 2 of us then Dave! I only weigh 150lb though!

Think this is for the 220s & over! {presuming thats muscle ;) }

Or display maybe?

Spiral, the hook is set deep here! Check your email. The kids can fix their own teeth when they get jobs!

If I had a chance to get a heavy FF I would do it in a heart beat. It is everything I have always wanted in a chopper/delimber and the worksmanship and style is superior, not to mention being a cult status. And I only weigh 185

If my chopping needs were not already met, or if I just wanted a peice of beauty and had the money, this rare item would have found a home.

i'm 170. all my friends call me slim.

I'm 6'8" and tired of being tall! Everyone has their own ideal height they want to be, which is usually not the height they are! For me, 6" off the top to 6' 2" would be just about perfect.

Norm

Svashtar, if I could add six inches I'd still be an inch below your ideal height (which incidentally is the same height I wish for). So count your blessings man. The funny thing is, despite my height I tend to like the bigger khuks. An 18" Ang Khola feels just right, and I'd love to try out a 20" someday. :eek: Maybe it's just because I have disproportionately large hands. :confused:

That dont depends on personal weight. :)
I m only 125lbs, I shoot 100lbs warbow with ease and can narrow hoofeisen in bare hands.
Usualy people doing heavy work do better in these tasks, like farmers, blacksmiths, people working with heavy machinery, machinists and so on.

That's very true and despite my height I could still be the original "97 lb weakling" and have trouble handling a 12" Sirupati! I met a mechanic about 5' 5" who had a grip that was amazing and had more upper body strength than you can imagine, so who knows? I am over 300 lbs. and consider myself pretty strong, but I wouldn't choose to use a khuk all day that weighed more than 30 ounces or so. That translates to about an 18 to 18.5" AK. Ideally I also like the feel of the big Hanuman and Garud AK handles on that size AK, but those are almost too nice to use.

Regards,

Norm

30 oz is about my limit for carrying, and to get more use out of the blade, you need to go up quite a bit. 25 to 30oz seems to give you the fat end of the work curve for a khuk, unless you're chopping down trees.

"Strength' is always of interest, because there are so many ways to measure it. I'm not strong but can use a khuk for several hours.

There are always those folks who if they get ahold of your arm can pull it from the socket.
