FP Street Bowie

It's still a pre-order item everywhere I've seen it, so I don't think it's shipping yet.

Speaking of kitchen utility, anyone know if the black ceramic coating on the new version is food safe?

I'm kinda disappointed that it's apparently only getting released in this tactical variation - it looks a lot better uncoated imo.

Hard to say. It was shown on Spyderco's website a few days ago, which made me think it was either shipping or would be shipping soon. However, the page seems to have disappeared again, so it looks like it may have "gone live" prematurely. Wouldn't be the first time.

I wouldn't make a point of scraping it all off and using it to make blackened fish, but for normal kitchen use it should be fine. I do agree about the look.

Expecting delivery of a shipment from Spyderco today. Several Street Bowies were on the order. Let you know if they arrive. Street Bowie is one of my favorite little knives.

Mr. Sastre....I love how you label a 5 inch blade little!

It's all in your frame of reference. I carry a Bowie with a 10.5" blade quite often, and carry the Street Bowie IWB when wearing "sweats" and running shorts that do not have a belt. The Spyderco G-clip excels at this type of carry. BTW, got 4 of the Street Bowies delivered today, so they are available and shipping.
