Built this for a fellow forum member. it's Wrought iron - W1 san mai , carved and textured ebony. All other hardware is textured wrought iron.

All wrought iron is from England....not that it makes a difference, just figured i'd add that in.

Sorry for poor photography :o
thanks for looking

I really like the dark look.
The handle texturing has a real nice balance and looks like it was done for practical reasons beyond just embellishment, which makes it fit in with the rest of the knife really well.

Looking good Andrew.
Hope to see some of your work at the Ohio Classic next month.

thanks lorien

kevin,
not sure i will be attending, im still up in the air on what im doing at the moment, but hopefully ill make it;)

this knife has flow.

I like the flow of your fighter. Pardon my ignorance, but I see only 3 pins that I think are to hold the handle to the frame. I also see holes in the guard and spacer that also hold the handle in place. But what holds the frame and handle to the tang? Is there a "blind pin" that holds the handle/frame to the tang?

Paul

The scales are pinned to the frame, the guard is pinned to the spacer, which is pinned to the scales, and the tang hole....(that just sounds funny) had a pin put in and the wole thing was filled with epoxy

not all pieces were shown, i think there were 3 more pins that are not in the pic....sorry , guess they would have helped explain better

this only being my second attempt at this construction, i am satisfyed with results, but will do a few things differently next time
