Frame lock help and an introduction

Hey all,

I'm new here. Been a follower for a little while and have gone to Bladeforums many times to learn all I can about knives, and finally signed up recently.

I have a cheapo mantis mk-2 I'm getting for a friend and I'm having a little bit of a problem with the framelock on it. The frame lock is beefy and works fine when I fold the blade out but when I try to fold the knife back in it seems like the framelock's stuck, as if it's wedged in behind the blade. I usually have to use two hands to pop it out of its position so the blade can clear it and fold up. Any way to fix this?

It should wear in, but a temporary fix till then is to rub the contacting surfaces with a common number 2 or number 4 pencil (the more "lead", i.e. graphite, the better).

Personally, I just waite till the contacts wear in, but the pencil thing usually works a bit.
