I'll take a pic tomorrow, it is a gerber flatiron, I suspect the end of the blade aint grinded steep enogh (?)Welcome,
It might help if you mention the model and brand. A picture might help as well.
Whatever kind of device you have? There may be an app for that. Look for a picture/file sharing host. Prefreably one that is NOT porn related. You can use imgur.com, flickr, or any others. There are tutorials online on the "How To" part, search for it. In the mean time, searching here for threads on the subject is also a good idea. It's not a new question by any means.

There's no lubricant, I even cleaned it with alcohol to make sure. Also the pivot is tight. The flick has barely any force, the minimal wrist motion i can produceFour thoughts-
1. How hard are you flicking it? Are you doing a full-force wrist-flick? Because that can cause the lock to over-travel across the tang of the blade. Frame lock folders are typically designed to be opened in a more casual manner by using a thumb stud, thumb hole, etc.
2. Is the pivot loose? A loose pivot can cause the lock to over-travel.
3. Is there lubricant on the tang of the blade? If there is, that can also cause the lock to over-travel.
4. If none of those are the issue, there is always the possibility that the knife was not well-made. In which case there might not be any fix and you might consider sending it back if you can.
Gerber is not now known for high quality. Overtravel is a very common thing on many of their models. Probably not a (good) fix for it.I'll take a pic tomorrow, it is a gerber flatiron, I suspect the end of the blade aint grinded steep enogh (?)
