I don’t have a whole lot of experience with frame locks so I am curious if this is normal lockup for a new knife. The only model they had was one that was on display so I’m not sure how much it has been handled or flipped open. Judging from the lock position, does it look like it has lot of use left in it?

I wish I could edit. Liner locks generally lock up later, but you have no worries on that knife. Frame locks travel less to the right mostly, but have always been secure for me.

There really is no normal for frame locks in general, but may be for a specific make or model. Some makers have early lock up some later. As long as the lockup is solid and you can release it you are good-usually not a problem until lock bar hits the opposite scale. Most find their spot settle and stay there for a long time.
Yours is fine

Looks perfect to me. The knife looks like it has a steel lockbar insert anyways so it’s not about to wear out any time soon.

Looks totally fine. Keep in mind that the lockbar insert may eventually wear out at some point in the distant future, but even if it does, it's replaceable.
