What do you think about Strider's SnG/SMF construction? They use a massive (maybe 1/8" or close to it) slab of Ti for the lock side, then a piece of probably 1/8" G-10 without a liner or anything on the other side. Supposedly the G-10 is stiff enough to cancel any flexing in the Ti, and it's unecessary to stick a liner or anythign under the G-10 side. The reason I'm asking is that I have 0.09" thick 6/4 Ti, and some of that "natural" G-10, which is the translucent green-hued stuff. It would look great to have the natural G-10 without any liner as one scale and then just use the 0.09" Ti for the lock/other scale, but is 0.09" too thin to attempt this with? If I put effort into this I guess I'd rather have a folder that works well over one that looks good, but if I could do both I'd be pretty happy!
