I was going to try and find a XM-18 but I'd like to see what kind of custom I'd be able to get. My budget is $600. Any suggestions are appreciated.

You can get tons of great custom folders for $600. I'd suggest Les George, Brian Fellhoelter, Some Kreins, Brad Southard, and Ray Laconico for starters. I believe all of them have some killer folders in that range, and not a bad maker amongst them!

Any particular knife? My one must have is an index finger flipper and thumb stud, but if I had to pick just one it would be the flipper. I've always liked the Hinderer XM-18 but don't know of it's worth the money for a production knife.

yunaknives.com yun makes a lot of cool knives. wait time is about 6 months. you can search "yuna" on these forums and you will find a lot of reviews.

quick for a les george. i didnt know he was making flippers for the publick yet... and i want one first lol...

RJ Martin Overkill, if you can find one! Best flippers in the business. Also Les Voorhies and David Mosier.
