While I was playing with my CRKT Ken Onion Ripple today, I noticed for the first time that it does not have a stop-pin. This means that the lockbar is responsible for maintaining integrity in two directions: lateral travel that prevents the blade from closing, and vertical strength that prevents the blade from travelling beyond its fully locked and depoyed position.
Granted, this is a very thin/light duty knife, but is it asking too much of a lockbar? What do you all think: marvel of engineering or pedantic oversight? Any other similar designs out there for reference?
Thanks!
