Framelock Issue?

I have an issue with a framelock knife I've been carrying a lot for close to a year. Sometimes the lock will only engage a tiny bit(I added pictures, hope it's clear enough for reference). It's the first time I notice this. Not sure if it happened because I dissassembled the knife for cleaning or if it was always that way. Is this a normal issue with this type of lock? How can I make it better? I'd appreciate any insights. Thanks!

A few thoughts-

1. If there is lubricant on the contact surfaces (blade tang, or lock, or both) that can cause the lock to move further across the tang than if the contact surfaces are dry (like after a cleaning).

2. Over time a stop-pin can develop a dent or flat-spot where the blade has been hitting it. If the stop-pin can rotate, or be rotated, and you rotated it during reassembly providing the blade a fresh, undented surface to make contact with, that can cause an earlier lock-up.

Other than the early lock-up, does the knife function just as it did before disassembly? Is the blade position between the two handles the same when the knife is closed?

.

More than likely an issue with reassembly. The blade tang looks like it might even be cocked at an angle a little bit in the picture. I’d take it apart and try again.
I think you were correct. I think somehow the blade was misaligned when I re-assembled it. I did it again playing close attention to the alignment and now it is way better. Thank you! I'm surprised that can happen with such tight fit. Maybe I shouldn't have messed with it.

Thank you, I added some oil to the contact surfaces. I think the stop pin doesn't have any noticeable flat surfaces. I dissassembled and reassembled the knife multiple times and it seemed to be working better as far as the opening action. One of those times I did notice the blade was at an angle it was actually slightly hitting one of the handle scales. I corrected that as best as I could.
