On my new Mikkel Willumsen and also my Microtech Whaleshark I have noticed something a little different. When I deploy the blade on these two folders the lock bar is not completely engaged with the tang(40% give or take.) However, on these particular knives I have noticed I can push the lockbar further onto the tang with little effort. The Whaleshark has zero blade play whether I push in the lockbar or not. On the Mikkel Willumsen there was a hint of side to side blade play, but when I pushed the lockbar all the way onto the tang the blade play was gone. I put loctite on the pivot and snuffed it down to where I can flip the knife easy enough and there is now no blade play even at 40% lockup. I can still push the lockbar over to 100 percent. What does this mean, and will it be a problem in the future for the lockup of the knife? Thanks

Curious about this as well, I can do the same thing with my Whaleshark. It also locks up rather late and sticks when I open it slowly, but when I use more force it locks up earlier and without stick. Does this happen to you as well?

No matter how fast or slow I deploy the blade it locks up the same every time. The only time the lock sticks a little is if I push the lockbar all the way over to the front handle scale. It's more of a curiosity than complaint, because the lockbar only goes all the way over if I push it there on purpose. Love the Whaleshark!

I'm no expert, but I do own a few titanium framelocks and they sometimes just need to wear in a little.
