I love the design of the Turbulence. However with the black G-10 and 14C28N, it seems sort of run of the mill. I love Tim Galyeans Pro Series Turbulence, but I do not think he makes them anymore? So since he let Kershaw use the design, and works for them. I thought it would look great in a framelock configuration with either a composite blade ( since Tim did some incredible work with composite blades ) or a CPM154 blade since Kershaw has been working with that now. I know it will probably never happen, but I can dream right :D.

No! No dreaming allowed or else someone who's been lurking for a long time will feel the need to swoop in and reveal the conspiracy! :p

Great idea, it really is. I love the pro series. But check out a regular Kershaw one! They're surprising :D

I am planning to buy a Turbulence tonight. Does anyone know if you can de-assist it? I mean does,it have a detent hole?

I THINK I took mine apart to see, and it didn't. Not 100% sure though, it was a month or two ago

I like the Turbulence and have one that was pimped by Will Moon of Moon Custom Knives. I would like to see it in a frame lock but I want mine to be a little bigger. 4" or maybe even a bit larger.

You can always drill your own detent hole if you have a drill press and the right tools. I did that to a Cryo awhile and it worked very well.

A framelock turbulence would be pretty rad IMO. especially in something like cpm 154 or Elmax:thumbup:

I have the Turbulence and enjoy it quite a bit, so I like the idea of Kershaw offering a framelock version. It seemed to me that the Turbulence has been somewhat overlooked - likely because quite a few "black G-10, stonewashed blade, 14C28N or 8CR13MOV steel" Kershaws were coming out around the same time and the Turbulence kind of got lost in the shuffle. It's a shame, because it's a good design.

Good idea. I forgot about drilling a detent hole myself.

I have been considering picking up the Turbulence as I really like the design. I would be very interested in a framelock version similar to Tim Galyean's Pro Series as I have been eyeing those beauties for quite some time. Also I agree that unassisted would be nice. Sadly I do not have the tools to drill the detent hole myself.

you can still find the pro series from time to time. It's awesome, there must be around 200pcs out there including the knifeart crossbones version? I love mine, awesome. The design is actually derived from the custom F4 project (only 1 proto and 1 other were made, iirc). Super skunkworks folders haha

not cheap though

amazing knives though, I got to handle one, thinking now I should have bought it

I would love a frame lock terbulance esp. In cpm-154 or a crazy composite blade I love some of the stud they're doin with composite blades. If it were a frame lock flipper I'd so be locked in!
