Civilian by none other than Frank Recupero!!! Frank took an Aluminum Civilian and 1200 grit sanded the tuffram aluminum finish off of the knife, high polished the body, fileworked everything that could be fileworked including the blade, the clip & both sides of the handle and backstrap! Then inlayed a beautiful burgandy colored burled wood into the slot previously occupied by the kraton rubber!

WHOA!!

All you need is love... a sharp blade and a full clip

Yikes! Substitute pearl or abalone for the wood and it would look like a pimp knife.

I can't see the appeal of custom dollars into a production knife. Why not buy custom? Something with some taste?

If I have to be a pimp to carry one of those, I'm going shopping for my new tiger striped fur coat and purple pimp hat!!! I want one!!! Heck, I'll even get me a fur lined Cadillac, complete with musical horn!!!

Call me Huggy Bear!!!!

Wow! I'm used to being blown away by Recupero's stuff, but it's still pretty amazing. The filework is superlative... and it's even on the clip too!

I'm a pimp, you can check my stats, rolling in a Fleetwood that's how I Mac........

Anyway I really like it. Frank does amazing work.

I don't think it was meant to be a user! Yes, it would scratch easier. But this jewel was for display only. I really just wanted to show what kind of work Frank could do. The Civilian is my favorite knife that is made by Spyderco. I guess this was my, (as one guy put it, my distasteful) attempt to have one of the finest examples of the Civilian. I think it is beautiful and a work of art by Frank Recupero.

Uh.. taste is in the eye of the beholder thats for sure. I think it makes the civilian look like one of those knock off chinese cheap steel kind of knives. Its def a pimp knife though. It doesn't look as tough or as scary as the regular civil though I like the black and metal combo myself. How much did you pay to have this done if you don't mind me asking.

Uh, lookee hee-uh, brah....iff ya has tuh axe...

I love the file work! While I am not a big fan of polished metal for handles, it does work as a "wall hanger".

I need to get in touch with Frank about another Civilian conversion.

One of my fellow employees wants a pink handled civilian! LOL, That would be great! She started out terrified of knives, now after a little edge-u-cation (by me

)she wants a pink handled civilian! I can't stop laughing when I think about it. I can't laugh to hard, she's a reserve LEO at a suburb I drive through occasionally.
