Good Day,

I am intensely interested in any information about the knives of Frank Vought, what people thought of them, if there are any out there, what Rynite was. etc.

I am also interested in finding a catalog of his, especially for the images of his designs. I am willing to pay a bit for a catalog or to have a catalog photo-copied.

A few years ago, I came across a knife with a big bearpaw for a mark. I did not know who made it, but was told it was Frank Vought. The knife was pretty nice, but not my style for my collection, so I brought it to the Blade show. B.R. Hughes and several others confirmed that Vought did, indeed make the knife. I ended up selling the knife to Joe Drouin very cheaply, so that he could put it in his collection of deceased knifemakers. As far as I know, it is still in that collection. Frank Vought made lots of knives, some fancy, but mostly good working knives. Fairly reasonable prices too. Hope this helps.
