I have noticed quite a few members mixing and matching their PM2’s and Military’s.

I have a incoming CTS-204p Military that I plan on doing a blade swap with my S90v KW military so I was wondering if anyone has had issues with any Franken Spydies?

Also, post em if you got em.

I've never had a problems with any Millies that I have swapped. Just keep CQI with CQI and non with non. I know the standard non-CQI will not mate with the CQI Millies.

I am not sure what a CQI is, but the S-110-V Blurple Mili’s have different pivot set up than the earlier models.

Probably the closest thing I would have to a Franken-Spydie would be my blue handled, plain edged, VG-10 Spyderhawk>> or maybe one of my nuclear colored Spyders might qualify. Actually I find all Spyders beautiful in their own rite.

The more I think about it I would love to see my C-60 Ayoob with a really radical handle of some sort.

S90V in a Fluted Titanium grip. The CQI pivot had to go with the blade.

This must have been a Bento because I've had it so long. I bought it this way off the Bay.

Just swapped mine out. No issues and I’m looking forward to this combo.

The S90v blade in the green handle does have a much stronger detent now.

I was planning to do a scale swap. Not a fan of the flared lanyard tube, it quickly convinced me a blade swap was a good idea.

Never had a problem with any pm2's in terms of function. Just fighting off the lanyard tube sometimes, a skill i have yet to master. The blue one has all the hardware from a dlc s30v but a cerakoted s110v blade. And the red one has the cerakoted (armour black) hardware with the m390 blade.

Thanks, I'm pretty proud of it to be honest. I did the black blade too, but liked how the satin looks on it a lot more.

And something good to add about switching parts out, is that my cerakoted one was never centered no matter what, even when i switched it with a s30v one. But after switching parts around on all 3 of them, they are now all centered and function the same.

Of course all my warrenty's are blown, but small price to pay for the happiness it brings me. But i have never needed warrenty coverage for any Spyderco anyway, they are built right to start with.

Does anyone know if Spyderco would offer support for Frankens even at owners cost?

Would they for example replace a worn lockbar insert for a Ti franken Military if the owner was willing to pay for it?
