I have been carrying my modded M4 Bailout for years, and nothing kicked it out of my pocket. But after a while I tired of the beat-up aluminum scales. I thought about getting aftermarket scales, but I also wanted a blade with a slightly lower tip. I got a Taggedout, but it was too long and the tip was even higher. And then it hit me: lower the tip of this blade and put it into a bugout handle! I bought the bugout parts, but then realized the blade isn't an exact fit. So I went at both sides of the tang with a Dremel - very carefully - and it actually worked! Free swinging action with bank vault lockup! I then dropped the tip (losing maybe 1/8" of blade length, not bad) and modified the handle to fit my hand perfectly, and made a very grippy g10 backspacer to sit securely in the palm for manipulating the lock to flick it open and closed.

It's dreamy!! Now I just need to drill the lanyard hole in the backspacer, and finish getting the tip down to 17 per side (being a former tanto it takes a lot of sharpening. . . !). Also I don't love the clip, I'll have to think on that . . .
