FrankenKershaw?

So I've been thinking about the blur lately and how awesome it would be if I could buy three of them to splice together into the ultimate Blur. I would take the blade from either the S30V Blur or one of the CPM-154 ones, the locking scale from a Rescue Blur (since it's the one with the carbide tip), and the front scale from a Desert Tan Blur. It probably won't actually happen for a while though since I'm currently saving my pennies for the 0566 and 0770 :(

So what cool frankenKershaws have you thought of or actually made?
 
I just recently created my first FrankenKershaw, a FrankenSkyline (I'm torn whether to call it FrankenSkyline or a FrankenLine). It was just something simple, I took a brown and an orange Skyline and just swapped the non-locking side scales. I actually think the orange g-10 scale with the black blade looks pretty sweet. I think Kershaw should make a variation with that combination. Of course I could just replace the brown scale on the locking side with the orange locking side scale, but I like how the brown scale and black clip make carrying the knife a little more discrete.
 
I have done a bunch, should have another one finished tomorrow. :cool:

..I have 3 at the moment..but I'm like a foster home for TILTs.. I find good people and let them adopt them...Think I've had 13 different Tilts

well perhaps when my tax money comes in I can find one of yours a permanent home......:p
 
Still love those! I'm glad I told you to do it!

I have done zings and I have done leeks. I was looking at doing a od handle blur blem and a s30v blem so I would have a nice user od!
 
The closest I have come is to slap a shine on a Skyline. I'll call it a Frankenshine.

I took an S30 blur blade and put it on a red handle. Also took a tanto blur and put it on an od handle. Chester...let's work something out on one of those tilts! :)

I have a set of Dionne Lucas kitchen knives from the '70s that look sorta like that. (Rosewood handles.) Haven't sharpened them in years though.
 
I took some (3) CPM S-110-V Shallots and moved the blades into the colored Snap-On handles The handles are Aluminum on the non-lock side and stainless steel on the lock side. The colors are red, blue, and green.
 
Leeks and Blurs here.

Red smoke handle with composite blade
Blue smoke handle with tanto blade
Desert sand with tiger stripe blade
OD with tiger stripe blade
Silver twill with S30V blade.
