Hey Andy..Figured you may want to know about this...

Recently stopped off at a Military/Camping gear store in St. Louis.

While over there and checking out their "sharp pointy thing" section, I came upon tomahawks. Cool, right?

Well, as I checked out these 'hawks, I noticed a sticker on the blade that said "American Tomahawk Company, est. 1993". Even cooler, right?

These were some styles of 'hawks that I haven't seen on the website. Alot cooler right??

Wrong. There, on the handle, was a sticker that said "Made in Tiawan".

I was like "Man, you've got to be shitting me. Useing the ATC name to try and get sales. Not sure if it was the store or the actual hawk company. Maybe some of those Cold Steel hawks??

Figured I'd give you guys the heads up.

Hello Phil,

We know about those labels.

The Tomahawks you saw indeed came from Cold Steel of Ventura, Ca..

They began to use this label in April of this year.

We have been in an ongoing dispute with Cold Steel about this issue.

Unfortunatley, I cannot comment any further right now save the following...the conclusion you drew without any foreknowledge of this issue says a great deal about our position in this argument.
