Fred Asbell knives

So, I was over at Fred Asbell's site looking at a a wool jacket and I noticed he has a knife page. I was just wondering if anyone had one or knew someone who had one and what they thought about it. They look decent enough and the price is pretty good. My Dad really likes the old timey knives and I was thinking about getting him one but I thought I'd ask and see what you guys knew.
