Hello all,
This is an announcement I am excited to make. We now have in stock the mid-tech versions of Fred's product line. We are now carrying the Neck Bowie, LaGriffe, Shark, and the Quattro. They can be found at the Boker website:

Thanks, Terry

I just picked up one of the Neck Bowies and an Eagle and I am very pleased with them. Great little knives and seem to be very good quality for the money. I'll probably go back and pick up the La Griffe some time, too!

About the only critisism I had was that the neck lanyards on both knives were too short (I could barely get the Neck Bowie's over my head). Since I always replace paracord lanyards with chain ones for safety reasons it was no big deal to me, but it could be for others. ;)

Second your thoughts on the neck bowie--so good I don't want a Street Beat anymore. But what's an Eagle?
D'oh! I meant the Böker/Perrin Shark. :foot:

I think it's a great little minimalist knife.

Quattro: I like it, but wonder if authorities may classify it as a butterfly.
Aside from the addition of a pocket clip, and a different blade shape, it looks more like Mr. Perrin's version of the knife shown in this thread which AG Russell calls a "Funny Folder". If that's the case, it's not remotely "butterfly knife" like. On the other hand I'm pretty sure it would be considered a locking folder in the UK.

You are quite correct. The "UNIQUE" design is clearly taken from the "Funny Folder", which was not original.

The Quattro owrks just like the Funny Folder. I have an old knife that folds in the same novel way. I think it might have been made by Colonial.

As for legality, I think it may be possible for the Quattro design to be flippable in its own way, if the pivots swing easily enough. If that is actually the case with the Boker (and I do not know if it is, not having handled or seen one), then it may be enough to put it in butterfly knife territory.

Re: the neck bowie - is it ground on the right side for right handers, like the Shark and LaGriffe?
