Hello,
Why it took us so long to review a knife like the BM710 in M2 steel?

The BM 710is not a cheap knife, it's a new concept in high quality folding knives. It desserves real looooong testing.

During this 15 monthes of intense tests.
Our 710 have been used in French Guyana during three monthes in the rain forest to test its ability to stand the Green Hell !!

Also the 710 have been used two monthes for intensely opening cardboard boxes without to be resharpen.

Each monthes the 710 have been used Demo. It have been used very very hard.
This knife is really really solid.

SoOOOO !!
What can we say???
The BM710 pass all this hard life with flying colors. And we have been surprised that m2 did'nt tust on the edge and the lock stood everything even when dirty...

The M2 is cutting aggrisivelly and the BT2 is a great protection.
It was no big deal to resharp.

But there is some bonus with 710.

So OK? the lock is excellent !!!
The system is really fast in gravity or rotation openings.

I would have prefer it lighter (with titanium liners).

The ergonomy is confortable for long time cutting.

Fred thought that the lock could be jammed by sands or dirt, but the lock never failed.
Also despite the rain forest,no rust has appeared on the blade(uncoated or not) or somewhere else.

This knife is really for all terrain. A great tool and also such a great quick reactive weapon.

now the bonus:
So Fred used it to make demonstration of close combat throwing knife in all Europe in front of many military and Policemen.
With big success !!!

It's one of the rare folding throwing knives I have ever used:
better than the Chinook, The Magna of Outdoor Edge, the Endura, the CQC7 and the Almar Hawk is also used in demos.

Conclusion: the Axislock is really solid for impact in throwing.

Now the Dream would be a little AFCK, axis lock, with M2 blade and tip up carry.

cheers,

JM

Thanks Nemo, I have been waiting for this review for a long time! Glad the knife held up well! M2 is amazing stuff. An Axis AFCK in M2 would be possibly one of the defining moments in knife history, why won't they listen? . Talk about a great concept!
