Everyone,
Life's been good to me. I'm in an extraordinary mood today and I thought I would share it.
As some of you do or don't know, I used to post here a lot, first under a pseudonym, and then later under my own name after I started my website, philelmore.com. In between I took a hiatus to figure out how I wanted to spend my time. I read philosophy, did a lot of thinking, engaged in a few other hobbies. During that time I decided I wanted to make it as a freelance writer and author. (That was the point of the website and of starting to use my own name online.)
I've been writing novels. I've had two Paladin Press books published. I've gotten a bunch of articles in magazines. My "other" career is going well. In the last... I guess it's three or four years, give or take depending on where you start, I've experienced a great deal of success and I'm working on some projects that will represent even more. It occurred to me today just how different my life is now than it was only four years ago, and how much more productive I've managed to become. It's a good feeling.
I'd like to share the joy and the best way I can think of is by giving somebody a free knife. All I ask is that you post in this thread by way of response to let me know that, yes, you'd like the knife, and, well, whatever.
When the time comes, I'll pick a winner based on the post number and the time of day when I decide (as random a method as any). Then I'll send the lucky winner something through one of my online store dealerships. I haven't decided what knife to send yet.
