Are you having trouble sharpening your knife?
I know not everyone that is into knives is into sharpening them.

I can't explain it but I really enjoy sharpening.

I use the razor edge guides along with the razor edge hones and DMT hones.

I have sharpened a number of knives now with it. Encluding the leatherman and gerbers the guys at work have. I have sharpened fillet knives down at the lake at the resort my inlaws own and a number of kitchen knives, friends knives, etc....

So here is my offer. If you have a single blade knife that is not a recurved or serrated blade that you would like sharpened send it to me along with a couple dollars to help with the return postage and I will sharpen it for you for free.

If you are interested just post or email me and I will email you my shipping address.

Hey Pahl,

I know exactly what you mean about liking to sharpen knives, I use to sharpen all my friends knives for free. I started with flat stones and went to the Edge Pro, but I've used about all the sharpening devices & stones you can think of. Yes, I have used the Razor Edge stones too.
I'm glad there are other guys like me!!

Guys I'm the same way, I find it very thearaputic, it actually calms me down, the rhythm of the blade strokin' the stone, the slight tug ya feel as the stone begins to cut the blade. These are things that put me into a higher level of concentration and awareness.:D

Appreciate the offer, but...

I am trying to learn now.

Don't be fooled by the knifemaker under my name. I meant to get a gold membership. It should read cyber-tard, but that isn't available.

A while back (last month?) I posted in "wanted to buy" asking for used and abused knives to practice on. I had a good response and was able to pick up several in differrent steels. I have been mangling a point guard for a while with a medium stone. Once I develope a steady stroke, I am going to have a go at the BM910. At least if I screw that one up, I can send it back to the shop...lol.

From some reading here, I know that a system would get me better results. But, learning to use a stone and strop is important in the long run. (for me)

Good idea, I may try something like that later on.

Thought if I could help others out on the forum well at the same time getting to see and handle differant knives, all the better.

Will see what happens,

Thanks
