I did have one of these MT's until it grew legs at a jobsite some time back , I do still have the sheath which I just rediscovered while cleaning my work van , and I have no use for it.

So figured maybe someone on here can use it , it is the sheath pictured below.

First "I'll take it" gets it pp'd UPS

later.

PM me your address or po box , etc.

I'll be out of town tommorrow so will send on thursday.

I just wanted to make one last post on this forum to thank rebeltf for the great sheath he sent me.It works great for the utility knife I have.I won't be back on here due to a post I made as a joke that got closed and I got fined.Everone knew it was a joke except this mod.He and I agreed that the best thing I could do is leave the forum.See you on the other forums.Arnold

Well I'm sorry to here that Arnold, you will be missed. However even though I'm sure you meant that as a joke, I can understand the moderators position. There has been way to many links to auctions on this site. It's something that is not tolerated in any of the other forums that moderators frequent, and there is a good reason for it. Between all of the e-bay links and the guys hawking their reworks, it's hard to tell who really has any interest in collecting. As I said, I'm sure you only meant to create conversation and had no interest in the link, I hope you will reconsider and look at the big picture.
Thanks Rick

I like the American Tanto because of the tip strength, the same reason I liked the Razel. If you don't like the "two edges" of the Tanto, it's not to hard to change it to more of a Japanese tanto, just sharpen it normaly on a sharpmaker, or even freehand, and round out the point, or "triangle of death" :D and you will have a normal transition on the edge, but with the full tip strength.

Arnold, I am real sorry to hear this, thank you for all of your contributions to this forum, you will be missed. Scott

Arnold, that's ridiculous! After all that you've contributed to this forum you get fined for a post that didn't even link to the auction??? Heck everyone knew that you were talking about the astronomical price. Jeez you Codger and Larry are the backbone of this forum! Where was this mod when the last five threads were put up with links right to the auction?? I can even see closing the thread but a fine??? I've always agreed with how the mods run these threads and what a difficult job it is, but this is un-called for and it's now cost us another pillar of this forums. I'm really sorry about this Arnold and I wish you'd reconsider, your posts are surely going to be missed.

Eric

Arnold, Ive learned a lot from you guys and Im disgusted. I dont know what the problem is or was but I know Ive posted links to ebay auctions too. Maybe Im next in line to get banned. Freedom of speech in America is slowly dwindling away and here is a perfect example of it. Maybe Im just pouting but It makes me not want to not want to post here anymore either!!! I will just be a lurker/reader from now on I guess. This sucks, I'll hate to not here from ya anymore. Joel

Arnold, I know the feeling mate you get singled out while the chosen ones can refer to whatever whenever and crack what ever funnies they wish.Arnold I was about to show you all my new fixed blade oldies you havnt seen. Why not hang around mate despite them, not leave because of.......I've had fun reading for a while and simply adding to my collection in the meantime and I always particularly enjoy your posts. If you stay I stay...what do you say?..... there will always be some you dont give a damn about but on reflection as I have ,the Codgers,Lrv's, Sams D&B's , Gradalls Paul 's and Sheathmakers etc really do make it worthwhile. What will I do without another fixed blader mate??I've worked out our contributions should be like a young ladies skirt long enough to cover the subject yet short enough to stimulate interest. We all live under Magna Carta which ensures no free man can ever be hanged twice for the same offence.....so what say you? Hoo Roo from Downunder.

This is a strange situation to be sure. It reminds me of getting pulled over on a Dallas freeway and ticketed for going 73 in a 65 when there were other cars passing me. Mesquite TX to be exact. I always thought I got singled out because of rental car sticker.

I did not see Arnold's post, but given the usual contributory nature of this posts and his support to fellow Schraders, I don't reckon he was that much over the speed limit. My question is why now, and why Arnold? I'm not condoning "Auction Spotting" and do not feel it has it's place here in this forum either.

It will be interesting to see if there is another reference to a live auction in the future. I do remember that when we had the uproar a couple months ago over this topic, Cougar was pretty explicit about "affecting the outcome of an auction".

If I post to this I am going to be banned. I am still sorely tempted to respond.
Michael

Codger get banned??...Would the last person out please switch off the light?
What a repository of knowledge this forum would be without Codger.....NOT.
How does one get fined.?.. they wont even accept my payment to become a gold member because I live overseas as I wanted to post photos direct.
Mr. Moderator you have my email address if you think it best I leave as you've done to member Arnold. As Groucho said I dont want to be a member of any forum that would have me as a member anyway. Hoo Roo again back to reading...can they ban you from reading??

You nailed it larry.... Anyone else feel like were living in a communits country right now. So scared to make a post for fear of getting in trouble from the leaders that you just dont post at all anymore. FREE SPEECH MY ASS!!!! I know its a forum but please a bunch of guys who take an hour out of there day to help others or tell a story about what they found at a store etc. That would be like the local bar I sit at once in a while making rules about what we can and cant talk about and having someone sitting there listening all the time. eventually you'll just drink at home cause the hassle isint worth it. Know what I mean.-Joel

I am sorry to see you go Arnold.............But I will see you the "Other Forum" :)

In my opinion, this forum has become too political. Which is the reason I have found another forum where I spend most of my time. Nothing against the guys here, it just doesn't seem as friendly as it did when I joined a couple years ago.

There is still a great deal of knowledge here. Codger & Larry have a lot of info on Schrade that they are willing to share freely with us. I for one appreciate that. I also enjoy the friendly banter. But some times the politics here takes the fun out of the forum. :(

Just my 2¢,
Dale

So how are we to ask about a kinife we want to bid on? To find out if it is real, bogus or really rare? As was said, there have been a lot of auction links, asking about certain knives.
And by the way, I read the orginal post, and there was no link, nor did it make mention of which auction. Just a funny about the knife.
Maybe it was the mods knife, and it was his auction.....

Auction spotting is when you post a link to an Ebay auction, so others will take notice of it.
Fined? (post edited) You lose point standings and when you lose enough, you gone.

Thanks for the info !Arnold see ya in austin at the knife show and on the other forums
